Since the inception of the Homebound Ministry in August, 1997, the group has ministered to the sick and shut-in members of Ward Memorial A. M. E. Church. Members are visited., scriptures are read, telephone calls are made, get-well and seasonal cards are sent. Tapes of services are provided upon request. Communion is administered by the Pastor. In addition to the church membership, nonmembers are visited at home, in hospitals and nursing homes. Inspirational booklets, magazines and senior papers are also taken to nursing homes for distribution to residents.
